Questions Families Often Ask

Every family's journey is different, but many of the questions are the same. Whether you're just beginning to explore senior living or preparing for a move, we're here to help. Below are answers to some of the questions we hear most often. If you don't see what you're looking for, we'd be happy to answer your questions personally.

Does Medicare pay for assisted living?

While Medicare generally does not cover the cost of room and board in an assisted living community, it may cover certain medical services such as physician visits, therapy, or approved healthcare services provided on-site.
Our team is happy to help families understand available options, including long-term care insurance, VA benefits, personal resources, and other financial planning considerations. Every family's situation is unique, and we're here to help you navigate the conversation.

How do families stay involved?

Families remain an important part of life at Crimson Village.
Whether it's joining a loved one for a meal, participating in special events, attending celebrations, or simply stopping by for a visit, families are always welcome.
We also believe communication builds confidence. Our team works to keep families informed and connected so they can feel involved, supported, and reassured throughout their loved one's journey.
When someone moves to Crimson Village, they become part of our community—but they never stop being part of their family's story.

Can residents bring personal furniture and décor?

Absolutely.
One of the most important parts of feeling at home is being surrounded by the things that matter most. Many residents personalize their apartments with favorite furniture, family photos, artwork, books, and cherished keepsakes.
We encourage residents to create a space that reflects their personality, memories, and lifestyle. The goal isn't simply to move into a new apartment—it's to create a home that feels familiar, comfortable, and uniquely their own.

What does a typical day look like?

One of the things families often discover is that there is no “typical” day at Crimson Village—and that’s by design.

Some residents start their morning with coffee and conversation, while others prefer a quiet beginning. Throughout the day, residents can choose from life enrichment activities or spend time with friends and family.

Our Life Enrichment program is designed to create opportunities for connection, purpose, and enjoyment while giving residents the freedom to spend their days in ways that are meaningful to them.

At Crimson Village, life doesn’t stop here—it continues with the support, choices, and opportunities residents need to live life their way.
